The third B-Flat operated at the same address in the Bazillus Workshop, but now with a liquor license. At that time, every citizen was allowed to put on two weekends a year - Friday and Saturday all-nighters with a free permit . That's why I always organized eight concerts per year at the end of December and beginning of January.

Fridays mostly jazz and on Saturdays newbeats.

Friday Jazz:
Since the first Bazillus at Albisriederplatz (1974) I always wanted to include jazz musicians from earlier times, the modern jazzers, hard boppers and those who also had funky jazz tunes in their repertoire. Of course, the K.T.Geier Workshop was still present, too, as it had been in the Bazillus Workshop for 25 years.

Sporadically, other new scenes came into the club. In 1998 for the first time my colleagues from the illegal club "Elisabethen" with Nico Canzoniere and Dario De Nicola. Here DJs on turntables mixed with free improvising jazz musicians and with voices (e.g. Jurczok 1001). For an LP production they sampled Werner Lüdi. I asked Werner if he would join in. Lüdi was open-minded enough and so he was part of the project "Freeform Arkestra" for a while. Electronic pioneer Bruno Spoerri was rediscovered by the younger generation, who had listened to rare vinyl records. On my request Bruno was (as always) ready to get involved with these young musicians.

Nik Bärtsch was already very present in B-Flat II in the early nineties. His precise keyboard riddmz could be heard in various ad hoc formations. He was also in our band "Acid Mumbo" and "Manteca". He then somehow disappeared for several years. He had gone to the conservatory to study for a piano diploma. He came back with a totally new concept. First in a trio. Then in 2002 for the first time with "Ronin" (Bärtsch, Pupato, Rast, Meyer).

With "Nurotic Soundsystem" more of a fresh breeze came down into the 'Grotto', that's what the musicians called our dark 'cellar-Bazillus' and they even created the verb "abgrotten" for playing and hanging out at the bar.

It was a wild new scene with Maze Salami, Flo Götte, Dani Wäch and Singha Dee + L.E.X.X.

I had also launched my own concept "Share The Stage", where everything was mixed crosswise. New additions: Flo Stoffner and drummer Luca Ramella. Also Valentin Bächi (Flava Sauce, Float) with his minimal sounds.

As always, I had also invited African musicians.
At this time especially Cats from Senegal. They very easiliy joined into the serial, repetitive rhythms.

A large part of these musicians then formed the defining musical basis in the very last "Bazillus ad hoc live club".

At the end of February 2004 the concerts at the third B-Flat came to an end and in the summer the room was converted into the "Bazillus ad hoc live club".
