VICENCIO, Alvaro Fernando “Vicho”

Er kam auf einer Tournee nach Europa. Dort blieb er und arbeitete in den nächsten Jahren in Spanien, Italien, Skandinavien und in der Schweiz. Er trat 1967 in das Unterhaltungsorchester des Radios in Basel (ab 1970 in Zürich) ein und wurde dort zu einem der wichtigsten Solisten in der Saxophon-Section. Daneben trat er mit verschiedenen Combos auf (u.a. mit Renato Anselmi und der Jazz-Rock-Experience)
1979 zog er mit seiner Familie in die USA. Dort spielte er zum Beispiel in der Chuck Israels-Bigband.

He came to Europe on a tour. He stayed there and worked in Spain, Italy, Scandinavia and Switzerland in the next years. He joined the entertainment orchestra of the radio in Basel in 1967 (from 1970 in Zurich) and became one of the most important soloists in the saxophone section there. He also performed with various combos (including Renato Anselmi and the Jazz-Rock-Experience).
In 1979 he moved with his family to the USA. There he played, for example, in the Chuck Israels big band.
